Frequently asked questions

Most couples aim to have their invitations in the mail about three months before the wedding. From when we start your mood board to when your guests receive their invitations, the standard design and production process can take anywhere from 10-12 weeks. I recommend getting in touch at least 6 months before your wedding day, and even earlier for projects including save the dates. Rush projects can be accommodated on a case-by-case basis. In every case, the sooner you reach out, the better!

Invitation-only packages start at $7,000, and the average couple spends about $10,000–$15,000 on save the dates, invitations, and day of materials combined.

Prebooking: The first step in bringing your custom invitations to life is scheduling an initial consultation so we can get to know each other and I can learn more about the wedding details and your vision. After that, I’ll send over a customized pricing proposal which will also include a payment schedule, project timeline, and contract. We can make tweaks to the proposal as necessary, and once everything looks good you’ll be able to pay the deposit (30% of the estimated total) and sign the contract right from the proposal.
Moodboard: Before designing anything, the very first thing I’ll do is create a mood board. Starting with any inspiration images and colors you provide, I’ll do even more image research and put together a collection of images, colors, and words that perfectly represent the visual direction of your wedding. We’ll spend a lot of time thinking carefully about the mood board and making sure it represents your vision, and then we’ll use it as our visual north star to guide the rest of the design process.
First Proof: After we’ve perfected your mood board, I’ll use it to design the first proof of your save the dates or invitations. Thanks to the mood board, we are already on the same page visually and don’t need to go through a ton of options to find what feels right. Even so, you’ll still have up to five proofs, because I want you to feel confident that you’ll end up with something you love!
Printing and Mailing: When your custom wedding invitations are absolutely perfect, we’ll do one last print proof to double check for errors, and then it’s off to print! I’ve carefully built my trusted vendor list through trial and error over the years, so you can rest easy knowing that your invitations are in the best of hands. Once they are printed, I’ll take care of assembling and mailing your invitation suites, making sure they get hand canceled to limit the chance of damage in the mail. You won’t have to lift a finger!
Day of Design: Our goal is for every guest touchpoint of your wedding to be perfectly visually cohesive, so after the invitations we’ll get to work on your day of wedding pieces! Think menus, place cards, signage, etc—anything that can be designed is fair game. We’ll use paper for plenty of items, but we’ll also think outside the box and might use materials like acrylic, wood, metal, fabric, or stone. I love working with new materials and dreaming up unique executions—they sky is the limit to what we can create!

Couples believe that life’s biggest moments deserve to be celebrated well, and their investment in custom wedding paper goods reflects that! Pricing is a combination of a flat design fee plus printing and production costs. The minimum investment is $7,000, and the average couple spends about $10,000–$15,000 on save the dates, invitations, and day of materials combined. I also love working with clients with big dreams who are open to wild concepts and unusual materials. These projects are all bespoke, and can cost up to $30,000 or more. The sky is the limit to what we can create together!
